It’s the biggest upgrade to our product and the most substantial change and improvement to naturaw since we launched our own brand of food 4 years ago, we have completely changed our packaging after a huge amount of development and a large investment in equipment.  

We know what you’re thinking, and don’t panic – as you would expect from us it is of course still 100% plastic free!

Aside from a bold new design and messaging that better represents what makes us so special and unique, the new packaging comes with a substantial amount of improvements over the previous iteration that has served us well for 4 years:

NO MORE STICKING POINT

The contents will slide out the new trays cleanly thanks to an incredibly clever compostable lining on the inside (products also have an additional paper liner on the base to improve this even further).

MADE IN THE UK

Another huge improvement, our new trays are made in the uk (no far east shipping miles) from pulp produced from scandinavian forests that are certified carbon positive (this means 3 trees are planted for every 1 cut down!)

AIR TIGHT, FILM LID MADE FROM PLANTS

It looks like plastic but of course it isn’t, in 2021 single use plastic should no longer be commonplace and we are proud to continue to lead the charge here. Our air tight, leak proof lids are a super clever mix of cellulose, cassava and corn.

ALL CERTIFIED HOME COMPOSTABLE

Yep it’s now official, every element of our new packaging is certified home compostable – the tray, the film, the sleeve. The cardboard sleeves are still printed on fsc certified card in vegetable based inks, and unlike others there is no foil or plastic laminate used that looks snazzy but renders the whole lot un-compostable.

CHANGES ON THE OUTSIDE ONLY

All our ingredients are still ethically sourced from the same british farms, and are made in the EXACT same way IN THE EXACT SAME YORKSHIRE KITCHEN. due to our new packing process It may look a little more compressed in the tray, but simply run a fork through it and hey presto!
